KYMCO Spark Plug Chart — NGK Plug and Part Numbers by Model

Updated 2026-08-18 · part numbers verified against the live catalog

Every KYMCO spark plug in this chart is the factory-specified plug for its models — the same NGK heat range and reach the engine was tuned with. If your KYMCO is hard to start, idles rough, or has lost its crisp throttle response, a fresh plug is the cheapest fix there is. Match your model below to get both the NGK code and the genuine KYMCO part number.

Reading the NGK code on your KYMCO plug

The code in parentheses — CR7E, CR7HSA, DPR7EA-9 — is the NGK designation. The digit in the middle is the heat range: KYMCO's air-cooled 50s run hotter plugs (6), the liquid-cooled 300–700 cc engines run 7s. Staying with the factory heat range matters more than brand; a plug that runs too hot risks pre-ignition, too cold and it fouls.

How to confirm fitment for your exact model

Model names repeat across years and regions, so the safest way to order the right spark plug is to confirm it on your model's own diagram:

  1. Find your vehicle on the All Models page — or decode your VIN with the VIN lookup to land on the exact model-year variant.
  2. Open the drivetrain or engine diagram for your model (the exploded views mirror KYMCO's factory fiche).
  3. Check that the part number on the diagram matches the one in the chart above, then order straight from the part page.

If a part number has been superseded, the part page shows the replacement — you will always receive the current factory part.

When to replace a KYMCO spark plug

KYMCO service schedules typically call for checking the plug every 2,500 miles (4,000 km) and replacing it around 5,000–6,000 miles (8,000–10,000 km). Replace it sooner if the electrode is rounded, the insulator is oily or sooty black, or the gap has opened past spec.

Changing a plug is a ten-minute job on most models — while you're in there, a fresh air filter element keeps the mixture the plug was chosen for.
